What holds a growing firm's website back

Five problems we see in almost every multi-attorney firm's website, and what each one quietly costs.

  1. Every office runs its own website.

The firm competes with itself in search, the brand looks like three different firms, and nobody owns the whole picture. Authority that should compound on one domain is split three ways.

  2. One page per practice group, not per matter type.

A page titled "Family law" ranks for nothing specific. The person searching for "custody modification" in your county finds the firm that wrote that page.

  3. Every inquiry lands in one inbox.

The receptionist forwards by hand, urgent matters wait behind general questions, and an inquiry meant for the northern office is called back from downtown two days later.

  4. Attorney pages are months out of date.

A partner who moved offices in March is still listed downtown in September. New admissions, new hires and departures all wait for someone to find the web login.

  5. The site hesitates on a phone.

Most legal searches happen on a phone, often in a stressful moment. A page that takes its time sends the visitor back to the results, and the next firm gets the call.

How the studio fixes each one

The same five problems, and the part of the build that removes each.

  • Separate office websitesOne site on one domain, a location page per office, and every old office site redirected into its section so nothing that ranked is lost.
  • One page per practice groupA page per matter type the firm takes, each answering one specific search and routing to the attorney who handles it.
  • One inbox for every inquiryAn intake router that asks matter type, location and urgency, sends the inquiry to the right office, and files it in your intake CRM.
  • Stale attorney pagesWeekly detail updates: moves, admissions, hires and departures published within the week without touching a revision.
  • A site that hesitates on mobileStatic pages served from the edge, 90+ PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, guaranteed and kept.

What the firm gets out of it

Four outcomes, in the order managing partners usually ask about them.

  1. Every office ranks as part of one firm.

Authority earned by any office accrues to the whole domain, so a new location starts from the firm's standing rather than from zero. Each office still has its own page, map and schema for local search.

  2. Intake reaches the right person the first time.

The router sends each inquiry to the office and attorney the firm assigned for that matter type and place, with the consultation terms already shown. The intake team opens a CRM record, not a forwarded email.

  3. The site is never out of step with the firm.

A partner moves, an associate is admitted in a second state, an office changes its hours. Each is published within the week, so the website is always an accurate picture of who does what and where.

  4. Nobody at the firm runs a website.

There is no CMS to learn, no plugin to update and no agency ticket queue. You send the change, the studio publishes it. You approve the article, the studio posts it. The firm practises law.

One site. Every office. Every attorney.

A hub-and-spoke structure that grows by adding pages, not by commissioning new websites.

Offices are pages, not sites. Each location has its own page with its own address, map, hours, schema and attorney list, on the firm's single domain. Opening a new office means adding a page from the same template.

Attorneys are provider pages. Every attorney has a profile that links to the matter types they take and the offices they sit in, so a visitor moves from "who handles this" to "where" to "how do I reach them" in three clicks.

Intake follows the structure. The routing rules use the same offices and matter types the pages do, so the website, the intake router and the AI receptionist all send an inquiry to the same place.

Everything on the invoice

What the monthly fee covers on every plan, so there is nothing to add later.

  • The site

Practice area pages, an office page per location, a profile per attorney, and a blog. Designed and hand-built by the studio.

  • The intake router

Three questions, then the inquiry goes to the right office or attorney with your consultation terms shown.

  • A free domain

Registered in the firm's name for as long as the plan is active, or we point the one you already own. Either way it stays yours.

  • Cloudflare hosting

SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth on Cloudflare's network. No hosting bill, no bandwidth overage, nothing itemized.

  • Your CRM, connected

Every inquiry written to the intake CRM you already use, by API, Zapier or Make.

  • Fully managed

Weekly detail updates, 5 revisions a month from your client portal, 2 researched articles a week, and a person to email.

From $137 a month$797 build fee, invoiced after launch

Pages that open instantly

  • Every page is hand-coded static HTML, served from Cloudflare's edge, close to whichever office city the visitor is in.
  • Almost no JavaScript ships to the browser. The intake router and the mobile menu are the only interactive parts, and they are small.
  • 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile and desktop on every page we build and host, guaranteed and kept there.
  • No layout shift as fonts, maps and attorney photos load, so a visitor can tap the phone number the moment the page appears.

Built to rank for each matter type in each place

  • A page per matter type answers the specific searches people make, instead of one practice group page that ranks for nothing.
  • A page per office with LocalBusiness and LegalService schema attaches each location to its own map listing.
  • 2 researched articles a week build the depth that keeps a firm site visible for the questions people ask before they call.
  • Local searches in your area start ranking within 3 to 5 months of launch, or the search work continues at no extra charge until they do.

How it works

Four steps from your first invoice to a live site, and the build fee is the last of them.

  1. 1

    Pay the first monthly invoice

That is the only payment before launch. It starts the build and covers your first month once the site is live.

  2. 2

    Onboarding form, then a call

You fill in the onboarding form: offices, attorneys, matter types, consultation terms and routing rules. Anything missing can follow by email or a portal ticket. Then one call to confirm it.

  3. 3

    The studio builds

Practice area pages, office pages, attorney profiles, the intake router and the CRM connection. You review a staging link and send changes through your portal.

  4. 4

    Live, then the build fee

The site goes live on your domain. Only after you have approved it do we invoice the $797 build fee. Weekly updates start the same week.

What firms tell us afterwards

Illustrative examples of the outcomes clients report. Verified reviews are added after launch.

  • We opened a fourth office and the site had the page, the map and the routing live before the lease was signed. Nobody at the firm touched a thing.

Managing partner, four-office firmMoved from three separate office websites

  • Inquiries used to land in a shared inbox and get argued over. Now the intake router sends each one to the right office and it is in our CRM before anyone reads it.

Firm administrator, multi-attorney practiceReplaced a contact form and a spreadsheet

  • Every attorney finally has a profile that looks like it belongs to the same firm. When a partner joined, her page was up within the week.

Marketing lead, growing regional firmConsolidated attorney bios onto one site

  • The site opens instantly on a phone. Our previous one made people wait, and a person waiting on a phone about a legal matter does not wait for long.

Questions managing partners ask first

Six of the questions we hear on almost every demo call. The full FAQ covers the rest.

What exactly does AttorneyWebStudio build for a law firm?

A fully managed website for your firm: practice area pages for every matter type you take, a page for each office, a profile for each attorney, an intake router that sends inquiries to the right office, and a blog of researched articles. We design it, build it, host it, update it every week and write for it. You approve; we do the work.

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is one change request of any size: a new attorney profile, a rewritten practice area page, or two new office sections with the copy and images already written, all in one request. There is no limit on how much goes into a single revision. 5 are included every month, requested from your client portal. After that each additional revision is a flat $20, with no hourly billing and no cap on how many you can request. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, and unused revisions do not roll over to the next month.

Do I keep my firm domain?

Yes. One domain is free for as long as your plan is active: if you already have one, we point it at the new site and it stays registered to you. If you do not, we register one in your firm name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, at no charge, and it is yours either way.

What is the intake router?

A short three-question flow on your site: matter type, location and urgency. It sends the inquiry to the right office or attorney, shows your consultation terms for that matter type, and files the inquiry in your intake CRM. It is labeled as not legal advice and it never qualifies a matter on the merits; it only routes.

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the plan you choose up front: $137, $297 plus AI usage, or $747 a month. The $797 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have approved it.

Do you give legal advice or act as a law firm?

No. AttorneyWebStudio is a website design and management studio. We are not a law firm, attorney or legal service provider. Nothing we write, and nothing the intake router says, is legal advice, and nothing on a site we build creates an attorney-client relationship. The practice of law is entirely yours.
