Questions, answered first

Answers on the AttorneyWebStudio offer for law firms: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.

The offer

What exactly does AttorneyWebStudio build for a law firm?

A fully managed website for your firm: practice area pages for every matter type you take, a page for each office, a profile for each attorney, an intake router that sends inquiries to the right office, and a blog of researched articles. We design it, build it, host it, update it every week and write for it. You approve; we do the work.

Is this only for large firms?

No. Solo Practice is built for a single attorney or a small firm with one office. Multi-Attorney and Multi-Office are for firms that are adding people and locations and need the site to keep up. The structure is the same on every plan, so a firm that starts on Solo Practice does not rebuild when it grows.

Do you give legal advice or act as a law firm?

No. AttorneyWebStudio is a website design and management studio. We are not a law firm, attorney or legal service provider. Nothing we write, and nothing the intake router says, is legal advice, and nothing on a site we build creates an attorney-client relationship. The practice of law is entirely yours.

What is the intake router?

A short three-question flow on your site: matter type, location and urgency. It sends the inquiry to the right office or attorney, shows your consultation terms for that matter type, and files the inquiry in your intake CRM. It is labeled as not legal advice and it never qualifies a matter on the merits; it only routes.

Onboarding and the client portal

What happens right after I sign up?

You fill in the onboarding form at our onboarding page: your offices, attorneys, matter types, consultation terms and routing rules. Anything you do not have yet, such as a headshot or a bar admission date, can follow later by email or as a ticket in your client portal; it does not hold up the build. Then we have one onboarding call, and the studio builds.

What is the client portal, and when do I get one?

Every client gets a client portal the day the site goes live. From it you request revisions, raise a support ticket, send files and message the studio directly, all in one place instead of hunting for an email thread. You never need a login to the website itself, only to the portal.

Revisions and updates

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is one change request of any size: a new attorney profile, a rewritten practice area page, or two new office sections with the copy and images already written, all in one request. There is no limit on how much goes into a single revision. 5 are included every month, requested from your client portal. After that each additional revision is a flat $20, with no hourly billing and no cap on how many you can request. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, and unused revisions do not roll over to the next month.

What are the weekly detail updates?

Small factual changes we make every week without using a revision: an attorney who moved offices, new hours, a new bar admission, a new office phone number, a changed consultation fee. You send the detail, we publish it. Larger pieces of work, such as a new page, are revisions.

Articles

What kind of articles do you write for a law firm?

Researched, plain-language articles of 2,500 to 3,200 words on the questions people search before they contact a firm in your practice areas: what a process involves, what to bring to a consultation, how a matter type typically moves. Every article cites its sources, carries a not-legal-advice note and is written for readers, never as advice to an individual.

How many articles a week, and who approves them?

Solo Practice and Multi-Attorney carry 2 articles a week. Multi-Office carries 3 a week through the Content Engine. You can review every article before it is published, ask for changes, or set topics you want covered and topics you want avoided.

Will the articles comply with attorney advertising rules?

We write them to avoid guarantees, outcome claims and comparisons, and we add the disclaimers you require. You remain responsible for compliance with the professional conduct and advertising rules in your jurisdictions, and we make any change your compliance review asks for as a weekly update.

The AI Engine

What does the AI Engine do for a law firm?

It answers the phone, the site chat and your SMS, Messenger and Instagram messages when your team cannot. It describes the firm, the practice areas and the consultation terms, collects the inquiry and books it into the right office. It is configured never to give legal advice and to hand anything that resembles advice to a person.

What is the AI usage charge on Multi-Attorney?

The $297 a month covers the site and the AI Engine itself. Usage, meaning the minutes of calls answered and the messages handled, is billed monthly at cost. We show you the running total, and a firm that receives few after-hours calls pays very little for it.

Does the AI receptionist create an attorney-client relationship?

No. It is an intake assistant, not an attorney. It collects details and schedules a consultation. Its scripts state that it is not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice, you review those scripts before launch, and every conversation is logged to your intake CRM for a person to follow up.

Hosting and management

Where is the site hosted, and what does hosting cost?

On Cloudflare's global network, served from the edge close to whoever is browsing, with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth. Hosting is included in the monthly fee, never an extra: no hosting bill, no SSL bill and no bandwidth overage, ever.

What does fully managed mean in practice?

Nobody at your firm logs in to fix anything. We publish the weekly updates, complete the revisions, write the articles, keep the site fast and keep it live. If something changes at the firm, you email us; if something breaks, we already know.

Domains

Do I keep my firm domain?

Yes. One domain is free for as long as your plan is active: if you already have one, we point it at the new site and it stays registered to you. If you do not, we register one in your firm name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, at no charge, and it is yours either way.

Can each office keep its own domain?

It can redirect to its section of the firm site, which is what we recommend. Separate office domains split your search authority and confuse intake. We set the redirects so nothing that ranked is lost.

Moving from your current site

What happens to the rankings my current site has?

We map every old URL to its new page and set 301 redirects before launch, so search engines carry the authority across. Pages that ranked keep their subject and their links. We check search console after launch and fix anything that did not carry.

Can you merge several office sites into one?

Yes. That is one of the builds we do most. Each office becomes a location page with its own address, map, attorneys and hours, every old site redirects to its section of the new one, and the intake router sends inquiries to the office that should take them.

Billing and cancellation

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the plan you choose up front: $137, $297 plus AI usage, or $747 a month. The $797 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have approved it.

Is there a contract, and can I cancel?

There is no fixed term. To cancel, email us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays). A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days' notice ahead of a Monday or Tuesday invoice. Cancel with proper notice and no further invoice is charged; cancel late and the next invoice is charged, with cancellation taking effect at the end of that month. Your domain and your content leave with you either way.

Are your fees refundable?

All sales are final. We do not refund a monthly fee, the build fee, or a completed revision for change of mind or because a service already delivered went unused. The only refund we make is for a duplicate charge or an incorrect charge caused by our own billing, and only when it is reported within 30 days of the charge. See the full refund policy for exactly how that works.

A question that is not here?

From $137 a month, live in 7 days, build fee invoiced after launch. Book a demo, or email the studio and a person replies within one working day.
